Foreign Ceilings

from Cos 789 by Whatthe Animalssay

/

about

I was a month or two from leaving India at this point and possibly a little eager to get home, after nearly 365 days traveling through my favourite country in the world. I had by now become a seasoned traveler and pretty much only enjoyed the comforts of my guest house, Kurt Vonnegut, bootleg cinemas, and smokables; as well as a nice camomile tea. I wrote this in McLeod Ganj, in the high northern mountains. I was tired and, in retrospect too keen to leave.

lyrics

I'm inspired to write nothing at all sandwiched between ceilings, and floors seem to divide me; a superhuman disgust for everything I see. I'm tired of looking out and seeing mountains, looking up and seeing foreign ceilings
My music seems to soothe me, it's just like a medicine to me. Here I've got nothing at all, just one friend and she's no friend at all. Surrounded by these strangers I find comfort in pages, Kurt Vonnegut my favorite.
Alphabetise my thought daily try and find my failing, when I do I'll change them. Until then I'll play my medicine, medicine, medicine.
