Pistols drawn and awake, awake to their maddenings.
We drew close to the fire and hope that they'd spare the lives of our animals.
But care free they shoot and they disagree with the answers we gave.

Drunk and bored they turn to her.
They had to shake us apart,
they hit me but all I could feel was the dark,
but she fought and in time they changed their mind.

On the floor we lay as one,
fueled by something that we had before this begun,
and a glance told us that we should run,
now that we had the chance.
So we fled our home in slow motion,
and willed each other not to fall,
and even with the shout, the shot, and the bullet,
we we're swallowed up by the woods.
Which we knew like the back of each others hand.
Are adrenaline drove us form miles,
we didn't stop running till we found the town of Twosmiles.
